Overview. YS-012 is produced by fermenting premium Rhodiola rosea raw material with a proprietary yeast strain under controlled bioprocessing conditions. Fermentation is a natural bio-reactor: yeast enzymes break down the plant's macromolecular structures, liberating bound actives and generating new functional metabolites. The result is a light brown to brown, crystal-clear liquid (pH 4.0–6.0) naturally enriched with bio-transformed salidroside, flavonoids and ergothioneine — the long-lived "longevity vitamin" prized in modern skin care — presented in a form that is gentle, skin-friendly and formulation-ready.
Mechanism. The fermentation process converts glycosylated and protein-bound actives into smaller, more permeable molecules, markedly enhancing skin bioavailability versus conventional extracts.
